Antenatal care has changed. To begin your antenatal care you should now make an initial appointment with a community midwife rather than your GP. Read our Antenatal leaflet for more information. If you are concerned about being pregnant you should see a GP in the usual fashion. The website Ready, Steady, Baby! and the Royal College of General Practitioner’s Emma’s Diary  are valuable on-line sources of information for Pregnancy and beyond.

Are You A Carer?

Do you look after someone who is ill, Frail, Disabled or Mentally ill? If so, you are a carer and we would like to support you. Please download and complete the Carers Identification form and hand or send it to reception.

Colds, Sore Throats & Flu.

At this time of year many of us suffer from minor illnesses which can be prolonged and cause inconvenience. However, most of these illnesses don’t need specific treatments requiring you to see a GP. For guidance on treating coughs, colds and sore throats follow our 6 step self help guide. Why don't we prescribe antibiotics for colds? - Read, Getting Better without antibiotics.

Worried you may have flu? For most of us Flu can also be managed at home without seeing a GP. Read this Flu and Colds information leaflet from the Royal college of GPs.

If your symptoms are prolonged, you suffer from other chronic health conditions or you are worried you should call at Results & Advice time to discuss your symptoms with a Nurse or Doctor.
